Re: Yet Another Online Server Browser
I think you can simply iframe the whole thing. If your hosts demands something more elaborate than that, I can look into it.

Re: Yet Another Online Server Browser
Made a local copy of this the 'official' web server list.
I didn't change the style even though it clashes with the rest of the site; thing is, the server colour codes are usually chosen to look good on dark background, so making the background bright looks horrible.
It still steals ct's serverlist xml file; is the method it's built from publicly available? Not that I can't build one myself, of course, but that's at least some hours work I'd rather avoid.

Mostly publically avalible http://armagetronad.svn.sourceforge.net ... erverlist/Z-Man wrote:It still steals ct's serverlist xml file; is the method it's built from publicly available? Not that I can't build one myself, of course, but that's at least some hours work I'd rather avoid.
I believe the only thing I've done to that is make it randomly pick one of the masters (only works with 2 of them) and make a script to remove data after soo long. But I don't mind the theft.
Re: Yet Another Online Server Browser
Pff, I didn't have concerns about that, I'm morally flexible It's more that I want things to be self-sufficient. Also, relying on an external server list xml file meant additional latency due to the caching the server list php files do. I set it up so that the xml list used by the browser is just a static file that gets updated every time the server query script finishes running, so there's only latency from that update happening only once per minute and the browser not fetching updated lists right away.kyle wrote:But I don't mind the theft.
Good job, epsy, by the way.

The CT server browser hangs sometimes, http://crazy-tronners.com/serverbrowser was last updated 348632 seconds ago. This is also true for all the browsers that use the same xml (like mine).
It only happens periodically and fixes itself usually within a week, though right now I think it's been about a week.

Re: Yet Another Online Server Browser
that actually may be due to the fact that i still try to get wrtl's feed. I'll look into that as the one on the homepage is still up to date.

Re: Yet Another Online Server Browser
000webhost deleted my account for some reason so I moved the thing. Here's the new address:
http://browser.hashpickup.net/
Anchor links(which allow you to share your settings; press F1) will port fine.
I also pushed a small update to lp:~epsy/+junk/arma-serverlist.js which fixes server names appearing in a (usually) pathetically-rendered bold, so Z-Man might want to update.
If there is anything you need that was on epsy.net46.net, please tell me so I may upload it elsewhere.

Re: Yet Another Online Server Browser
I updated it with the following changes:
- It now has a favicon.
- Performance improvements when browsing the list with up/down arrows.
- alt+s will now not only focus the search box, but select text within.
- Finally, the text fields in the advanced filters won't reset the cursor anymore as you edit them.

Good job, ε. And 000webhost deletes sites like nobody's business. If you need some help with it lemme know.

Re: Yet Another Online Server Browser
It probably took long to make this, I like the features too - but there seems to be a URL-related bug when you click on WW CTF. Could be the server itself though.

If you mean the SERVER_URL part, they didn't put http:// in it. Not my problem.Word wrote:It probably took long to make this, I like the features too - but there seems to be a URL-related bug when you click on WW CTF. Could be the server itself though.

Re: Yet Another Online Server Browser
Anyone want to help me launch Arma through Firefox? I can't seem to get it. I added a network protocol and pointed to the executable, but no luck.
