forum problems

for the last few hours this forum has been running extremely slow and just now I got this error

Hacker != cracker. Anyway, this SMTP-not-reachable stuff has happened before when someone chose to be notified via e-mail.

Yep, I'm getting this deal where when I try to post, it just stalls. The first occasion, I hit esc then tried to submit again and it told me I couldn't post two so closely together. That's when I realised that the first attempt did get submitted. Since that one I've just been hitting submit, waiting a few secods, cancelling, then going back to the forum manually.

The other thing is that the "bigpaypal.gif" isn't loading at all, which also stalls the page.

Oh, and...

...are "not found."

IS it still happening? This usually happens when Tank's mail server is unavailable for some reason ("smtp.php" is the file that contains the email notification code for phpBB, I assume). Happens off and on, usually happens whenever tank is updating the site, for example, adding a donation button to the bottom of the page. :)

Well, of course it stopped doing it after I made that post, heh. The other things are still true, though.

Edit: Um, and now that one's true again as well. ::shrug::

Edit II: But, it didn't do when I edited, heh. Let's see if it does it this time! (I won't throw in a third edit either way.)

Paypal isn't loading again, at least for me.

Edit: And the debug timeout thang, but that's been explained.
And lately the site overall seems to be slow. Is this just me?

Not any more. The paypal logo, the mail server, Tigers Network, iceman's nuke server, and the main armagetronad.net site are on my home connection, which spontaneously died last night around 2130 local time. Sorry.

everybody in tigers server is complaining about the delays, lag, hackers etc etc. nuke zone on the same box is also effected and im seeing crazy messages like only spectators online waiting for real players !

could be many things

bad isp
faulty modem
qos gone screwy
hacker flooding

only tank will have an answer to this

btw these problems started right after I kicked that idiot Flash out of my server about 10 times today

servers still down, its been hours now. tanks msn has been offline for the same amount of time
