lack of the orange stuff

Are you guys sure that

1) you have logged in
2) presss refresh if using back button
3) dont have a monochrome monitor with a hercules graphics card
4) are not red/green colour blind

there still is a real problem with the new posts

i often log in and see the orange things
so i then click on view new posts .... and get a long list of new posts

after viewing a few (but not all) the list disapears
so i go to the main root and all the orange is gone

click on view new posts and list is empty

i have to wait 24 hours and maybe sometimes it works again

clearing browser cache & deleteing your cookie does not help in the slightest

help !

I have come across the same thing. So then I have to go through all the topics, which isn't bad because you could run across an interesting post just waiting to be revived. It does cause concern for the viewers though.

iceman, I have no idea. Try looking around the phpbb forums some, see if there is a fix?

I've noticed that if you look at the unread posts, and not look at all of them and leave. Come back later then all of them will be marked as read ie. no orange anywhere, and unfortunately once that happens,there is no going back.

I try not to do that now, so I dont know if that still happens.

as subby, in addition i usually open the links to the new posts in a new window (tab actually since i use mozilla but should work with windows in explorer) to keep the list. after i've gone through them all i refresh the list (often new posts have been made)

maybe it will help your problem? hope so
