Is there a guide somewhere to teach you how to write ArmagetronAD maps by hand?
Re: Map Question

Wow... cool dudekyle wrote:as do I http://armatourney.net/add-resource/
Yup but I think I should upgrade mine to enabling global logins. That would be an easier system for using to manage maps, users and all.kyle wrote:Mine uses global ID's as username and arma auth for account his is open to anyone.

Re: Map Question
Um I was trying upload the map lol and how do you change it from txt to xml?
Re: Map Question
And I pointed to you what you got wrong in your file.Agility wrote:Um I was trying upload the map lol
You got
Code: Select all
name="HR"
Code: Select all
name="Box"
Open that file in any text editor and then do "Save As" and save it as an xml file. Remember to remove the ".txt" while your at it.Agility wrote:and how do you change it from txt to xml?
Re: Map Question
Everytime I try that it changes it to xml but when I open with internet explorer to look at it, It shows up blank
Re: Map Question
Internet Explorer... anyway, right click on the web browser page and select "View Source".Agility wrote:Everytime I try that it changes it to xml but when I open with internet explorer to look at it, It shows up blank
Xml is a text format but is it also a CODE format. Due to this, internet explorer doesn't exactly show you what it may/not look like.
Re: Map Question
Thanks it worked and apparently for one of my wall points I had y"0" so I think that's why it didn't upload. It uploaded now though. Thanks guys for helping me
Re: Map Question
Well I'm glad that got sorted out
However, in the future I plan on having global logins so you can control the maps you make, create and put in. That should make things for handling multiple maps by the same author

Re: Map Question
I see so you can delete them later on if you don't want them no more, and map making is really easy once you get the basics down
