Hi, Ive got a spare HP Compaq t5000 thin client just sitting around gathering dust and was wondering if it would be possible to run some armagetron servers on this tiny device
It has a Transmeta Crusoe Processor TM5800 running at 731 Mhz, 512MByte Ram and a 32MByte flash drive
I know the processor could just about cope but the small flash drive could be a problem, can you recommend a version of linux that is small enough to run on this thing and would be able to support armagetron
Thanks

Aren't those USB ports? Can't you then just get a cheap 2 or 4G pen drive and boot from that?
If not, even Damn Small Linux woudln't fit. TinyCore could.

Those are indeed usb ports and I have booted the system from my slax thumb drive but I would prefer using the internal flash drive if possible
I dont need any fancy linux with desktop or anything like that, all I need is the text console
I'll try the tiny core and see how I get on with this, thanks again z-man youre always a great help to me

And remember that the rest of 32MB can quickly fill up with ladderlogs after some weeks; configure them

I really need to find somewhere that explains the best way to install and setup armagetron on linux because even on other server running slax I dont get any server logs
