can't turn off full screen

ok so i have a Windows Vista [lol], Core 2 Quad Computer.
Now i have been trying for a long time to somehow turn off full screen mode so i could record but weirdly it would just return to full screen.

Basically if i go to the display settings, and turn full screen off, hit apply, it would "appear" to be changing out of full screen, but then it goes back into full screen with "Full screen" Option being On.

Any suggestions.

Try to change the color depth of Vista to 16 Bit and do the same with Arma's color depth. I had the same problem. You can also try to change both to 32 or 64, but it has to be the same.

Yep, that. If setting the video mode fails, arma will revert to the previous configuration, and sometimes, modes can be tricky. Best to leave all 'depth' values (color and depth buffer) at explicit 'default', that should pick any value that works automatically. If that doesn't work, try the explicit combinations.
