I have made a new lightcycle model, but it is not a game model, it is a high poly model for people to download and change as they want. It is in .3ds format and I also have some images of it on my site too.

the new model is the blue one (scroll to the right)

Hope you like them

Edd, could you maybe send me a copy of the tank model in a blender friendly format? Or do you know of a converter?

tron stuff

Post by edd »

Hi all and thanks for the great feedback.

I have been working on the lightcycle and getting it as close to the original movie version as possible. I have also made these modifications to the moviepack .ase version so I will re-post that over the next couple of days.

Tank: I will see if i can convert the game tank model (I have a .x version) to a version you can use. Maybe I will post several versions?

Alan: thanks, the cycle movie is converted into flash mx version, I could mail it to you or the original version .avi if you like?

cheers

You're the expert, so I leave it to your better judgement. I've tried googling but I haven't been able to easily find out what file types blender supports.

I have just downloaded blender, so I will see what I can do over the next day or so, and hopefully post a 'native' blender model.

blender model

Post by edd »

Hi Tank program

I have a game tank for you in blender format. I don't know how good it is because I found the blender interface very strange. However, I made some modifications to my studio max model and added some texture maps, which I have included in the zip file. I exported it as a .dxf and imported it into blender and then saved the model. I could'nt figure out any more than that. If you could let me know how it looks to you that would be great. Then I can convert some of my other models to blender too.

edd

I have also posted it on my site.
