New cycle model (old meets new)

Post by ender »

This is still a work in progress but I wanted to make a model using the first movie body and the new movie lighting. So far this is all I have but I will be posting a full moviepack soon.

Haha yeh dude pay no attention to that my computer is from like 1998 and so is the graphics card. It is actually a .mod file like the original cycle so you will be able to make your own skins!

I like your cycle model. I think It is pretty cool.

Hmm, strongly resembling a cycle skin I made a few years ago (09/25/05, according to the Finder). I can't remember if I ever posted it here, but here are a few shots plus the skin itself, if anyone wants it. Obviously, it's just black with the white parts being transparent (alpha blending not required). Looks best on a black floor. It was originally intended to be part of this "Vector" moviepack suite I was putting together back then. It's just a draft, really. Ideally, I'll get Ed to make me a cycle model, too, if I ever want to finish that up. Anyway....

Pretty close! I made an entire new model as well though, it's not just a skin. Looks cool though.

Yeah, I realize you made it a model as well. Yours actually looks more like what I was envisioning, although with thinner lines than I would have. The smudginess on the wheel of mine is unwanted, for example. Basically, I was looking to make a skin that gave the impression of a simple wire frame. Or, alternatively, a rotoscoped cycle. Or a combination of both. Whatever.

Anyway, not to hijack, but here's the same done with the textures cycle:
