I used cycle walls, rim walls, and zones. I edited the rim and cycle wall textures to change the color and tonality. The way I see it, every thing that is part of Arma is fair to use and manipulate in order to realize a creation.qRt.mike.huePn wrote:btw sinwave your drawing with multiple axis is interesting -
how did you put several colors???
Your curves are coming along nicely!
And you were the creator of the cardboard tron movie? Very nice! I saw it several months ago. Very cool. Have you seen "ScanTron"? It's also very clever.

with multiple ways to use the game for touching art.
even with the sounds... a melody could be made with motorsound
for example, like they did with that ferrari F1 car.
yep, we were 2 creators, sharing the job.sinewav wrote: And you were the creator of the cardboard tron movie? Very nice! I saw it several months ago. Very cool. Have you seen "ScanTron"? It's also very clever.
ok i'll see scantron!

Wow, what a fantastic idea. If there was a way to program the cycle movements I'd be all over that shit. Is there a way?Tank Program wrote:It occurs to me... has anyone tried re-enacting the Tron light cycle sequence in Armagetron?
On a side note, I just made a server the other day that is a 3v3 set up like the movie, but cockpit mode only. Word on the street is that it pretty much kicks ass. I felt like I had to do it since there currently isn't a server like that.

I think it might be possible to do something clever with an aa recording...sinewav wrote:Wow, what a fantastic idea. If there was a way to program the cycle movements I'd be all over that shit. We talked about it some time ago. Determined the hardest part of re-enacting is the point where the two blue cycles come in together and ride side by side, core dumping the gold cycle.Tank Program wrote:It occurs to me... has anyone tried re-enacting the Tron light cycle sequence in Armagetron?
The problem isn't cycle_width, it's doing the offensive maneuver without crashing. I'd be willing to do a few runs where we just have one cycle come in to the other wall like always happens anyway, but y'all know me, perfectionist and all.
The rest, well, there's a lot we'd need to choreograph to get it to work. The maze Flynn goes in isn't exactly shown as anything but an in-cam view, and a cheesy one at that. So we're free to construct our own maze, but it would have to be choreographed quite a bit. There might be room for improvising it, with the right players (and appropriate chemistry), but you have to get the left/right turn sequence right.

"painting" because i used the "paint" windows program.sinewav wrote:"hellow3" looks amazing. The moiré is really neat. It looks like a friend saying goodbye through a screen door. Can you explain about "painting"?
i dont really like it and i usually do photoshop
but with paint i had a good filter to retrieve the grid graphical power...
that gives this moiré
draw draw draw -
it truly does kick arse. we did the same thing at the most recent cheers admin meet just to emulate it.sinewav wrote:

another drawing, the superdeath spiral.
here are my camera settings, so i can see how to draw from the sky:
CAMERA_CUSTOM_BACK -20
CAMERA_CUSTOM_RISE 50
CAMERA_CUSTOM_PITCH -30
you can put these lines in a file named draw.cfg
put this file in the config directory
during game, when you want this file's settings, open the console and type:
sinclude draw.cfg
if you want original custom view settings, open the console again and type:
sinclude settings.cfg
