For developmental things relating to the graphics of the game.

I copied this maze to a map (hopefully without errors). No maze generation yet...

Why hide the minimap? Are you serious luke? You could just do the maze up top. It's essentially cheating.

Most mazes are done "up top"...

You can't pause movement, so the overhead map won't help much...

You can't pause but a modified chatbot will dodge walls well enough...

A modified chatbot can win the classic game against all humans... is there a point here? ;p

Maybe a round, but I don't think I have ever seen a chatbot win a match and against real players (with the chatbot playing the whole match). Sure its possible, you just need really bad humans. :)

A maze-solver chat-bot would be a cheat, although a cool hack nonetheless.

I have. :) Me and Anumeric, no less. We were so dead-set on killing each other that we kept hitting the chatbot, and try though we might, we couldn't get ahead of that damn bot.

Well if we do have "first to get to the end wins" kinda things im sure everyone BUT luke will agree that we should hide the map until dead in this kind of match...

Actually, I don't think that'll work. For one thing, it's relatively simple to modify your client to allow you to show the map anyway. So it's a rule that can only be enforced on non-techies, making it a techie-friendly rule.

And secondly, I *gasp* agree with Luke.
