Control Chatbot

Post by Zapple »

It would be really cool if you could control your chatbot! So if you just wanted to fool with people so their like, "Dude! Your chatbot rules!" Or you just want to win, then it could show the yellow thing above your bike and others think your typing or in prefs.

To control your chatbot, hit esc, and use the normal navigation controls.

So you want to cheat?

I'd like to be able to configure chatbot intelligence on my server, but there's a reason the game informs people you're not at the controls whenever it reasonably knows you're not. Some of us consider it rude to attack chatbots and try not to, for the most part. (Sometimes you're committed to the attack and you just can't pull out when the thing goes chatbot)

Of course, you *could* go into chat and wait for someone to come at you, and *then* come out of chat quickly and kill them. That's a valid tactic, I think, especially considered the unsportsman that was attacking a chatbot.

Ok, I've decided it would be cool if everytime you type "right" when you chat your chatbot runs right, and everytime you type "left" your chatbot turns left.

Your_mom: So you want to maze, huh?
Lucifer: right
Your_mom core dumped Lucifer for 1 point.

Umm i think i found something interesting thats why i decided to bump this heh good ol resurecting dead threads well i was looking thru the tron stuff on my linux os including some .html i found and one of them talked about 2.6 protocal 3 ... then it lead me to think that this was probobly in the original cvs on sourcefourge for those on linux it was somewhere at

file:/usr/local/games/armagetronad/doc/versions.html

other os's could probobly search for versions.html if interested was just wondering if anybody wanted to find out about this because im not sure where exactly the cvs is or how i could access it and if it would be some crazy complicated install. Btw just put 2.7 on all by myself :D . So yeah bumpity bump bump

What "fabled" code exactly? I'm still not clear what you're pointing out mom...
