Re: Good News: Android Port
Good job spotting it Kyle.
@Word, it's hard for me to keep up on the forums these days. I dropped off the end of the earth this last time because of a string of conferences, wrapping up my work in Germany, moving back to the UK, getting back into my PhD, Christmas, getting back into the PhD again... Everytime there's a little gap which never quite feels like enough time to get back into things proper so I generally don't try. Still, some things just can't be missed. I like doing the April Fools' Day stuff.
At this point, I'll try to keep up on the forums again until some new catastrophe hits and I drop off the end of the earth. I'm likely to be writing up my PhD starting midsummer, as I'm in my third year now. Then there's submitting it, viva, and corrections, all mixed in with finding work, and probably moving again... Good news though! I already have an idea for next year's April Fools' Day so I should be back for that. Probably not as elaborate, but I have a good feeling about this one. I think it'll be worth a chuckle.

Apparently 44 people still have this installed on their Android devices ("Active"), out of 68 people who have installed it total. I'm going to have fun watching the stats on this.

Is the tron interactive for a keyboard if you have a case with a keyboard? Could you still use the keys?

Not at the moment no. I couldn't decide how I would map keys to the different player cameras so I left it out. Touchscreen only I'm afraid. For future reference though, what key bindings would you expect?
Re: Good News: Android Port
I usally use keys like left for left, right for right, v for brake, space for toggle brake...
But Maybe it can have a bind key thing where you just choose your own keys? Some people use different keys from others.

Re: Good News: Android Port
and some phones don't even have arow keys
Re: Good News: Android Port
Yeah, but I'm kinda talking about android tablets... And If you are able to bind a key on a phone, than don't bind it to arrow keys, try binding it to keys like x d v or something like that. Or just use the corners like orignally.
Re: Good News: Android Port
Im curious as to how this plays out. Does it require wifi? (I hope it does for latentcy reasons) Or does it run off our standard cell network (which is horribly slow and unreliable most places)
Those who have used it, hows it feel? What changes if any have been implemented to make up for its (likely) inherent latentcy?
