alright, im shure theres a good reason for the restrictions on how many digits that can be used in your screen name. but i think in future armagetron updates there should be more room for color codes in your name.

I find the name system perfect. You have 15 characters for a regular/çøôl name and 1 color (the name is usually the color of your bike); if you use a 2nd color, you still have 7 characters for your name. More characters in your name may cuase names even LONGER looking than my ingame name lol as well as the gameboards and things having to either be bigger or shrink the text.

Actually word, special room for a team tag would not be such a bad idea I think.
that would make features like hiding tags over the cycle on the grid (show name only) or clan stats in some servers possible.
Most* devs aren't in clans though so I doubt they see it as a useful feature and I don't know how we'd make them see it as one. :p

the way names can be locked to certain IP's or logins (I'm 90% sure that's the case?), I guess tags could be locked to logins as well. There's no reason to get into technicalities yet (I have a way that'd work), but I understand your scepticismsinewav wrote:Code: Select all
