So does the fix also fix the problems of the latest gcc version? If so can the changes pls be officially added to Arma-Adv (AA for short :) )

no, it still dies a horrible death when made with gcc 3.4, and the same exact changes to the 2.7 code will make it compile also. see the diff i linked to above.

IMO its quite common in games that you get better controller response with higher fps.. has something to do with the cpu having more blahblahs per blahcycle to do the keyboard polling.

name a game that doesnt suffer from this

i also think that armagetron code is kinda crappy on account of it was freesource i think the lag compensation on this game is not of the standard of most modern games cuz it dint have a huge team of programmers getting paid the big bucks etc...

but i could be completely wrong.

i just like to make the pretty 3d crap, i aint no programmer

i have gamedev'd b4 for a real live company & everything & they used my assets.. blah blah

It is true you can't see all those frames, but experinece tells us the higher fps = better ability to grind ..... a bug in the program but I think it's there
^ page one

there was other discussion about it on page one of THIS thread too..

i'm starting to feel not wanted 'round here ;p

i guess i'll sit in the corner & keep my mouth shut
