Hide server in Master-serverlist?
Hide server in Master-serverlist?
Is it possible?
I'm using Dedicated-server 2.6+ under Win2k
I tried to "crash" master server access "Talk_to_master -1", but it looks not the good way. My server is visible (not for everybody!!) in serverlist.
Does someone have an idea?
My aim is to reach a server by a ip configurated connection, and not appear in serverlist (until passwordbased server will be available soon)
Please excuse me, for my very very basic english... I try my best.

The settings I believe are:
Talk_to_master 1 (shows on list)
Talk_to_master 0 (does not show on list)
It may not recognize a -1 value.
Then yes, give your ip to only those you wish.
OR - You can Talk_to_master 1 (shows on list) and set your port to some other number than -
CLIENT_PORT 4534
SERVER_PORT 4534
You may want to expeiriment, for I'm not sure and I have never done this myself. But it should work.
Good luck

set it to 0 and have your sever off for a few hours. if it was accidently placed on the master server list it takes time for the master server to take your ip off its list. just have it off for a day then restart with talk_to_master 0 and it should be better.LadyX wrote:I tried 0 and 1, with the same result. Everytime, i appear on the serverlist (not for all with 0). I tried to modify master.svr (port) file, same result or it doesn't work but 4534.Road Kill wrote:The settings I believe are:

hiding
If you change the address listed in the master.srv file located under config it wont know what the master servers address is anyways, therefore never communicating with it, however, setting this to a noresolvable address may cause the server to hang at startup until the connection times out, at which time it should function normally, my advice would be to set it to your ip address or 127.0.0.1
