Small error driving me bonkers...

Post by Misery »

OK. I'm pretty sure there is a simple solution to this... but it eludes me. I have a small problem with the output messages. It's just a space. I need a space in a certain spot, but I can't for the life of me figure out WHERE IN THE HELL IT IS in the messages.txt file! See attachments. ugh...

Can anyone help a fellow grid runner out?

I think that is in the file english_base.txt. I've seen other errors too, like "Player 1 something something score to 4butt remained at position something."

4Butt! That's what they called him before he snapped and went on a rampage, sitting on people and suffocating them!

I think I fixed it for you but you can always edit the text by adding

Code: Select all

highscore_message_improved \1 improved its personal highscore in the \2 to \3
to that file

The \3 needed a space after it so I just edited the global file.

Well sonnavaBITCH! I wish I would have seen this over an hour ago! I finally figured it out after Sine pointed me in the right direction to the language file. Then I saw that I didn't even have that line in my custom file. Soooo... I fiddled with it until I got it working. Little did I know that you already fixed it while I was toiling away trying to figure it out. So I deleted the line that I added after reading this and all is well. lol

Thanks! :)
