Halp, Server, Match Winners

Post by Vogue »

I'm a noob so bear with me. How can I make it so that after each match ends there's a top 10 list of players who won the most matches? If that's even possible

If you have scripts running on your server, watch for ROUND_COMMENCING or whatever you wish, and parse the log holding the list of top users. Just stop after the 10th. The log already exists, so it would be easy. If you happen to need more help, feel free to message me on lightron.org.

I think of the easiest would be to use CTWF cfg and scripts and edit them.

No idea about the source being available somewhere or not.

Talking about scripts, I would be much interested into gridstats scripts and sources :)

I doubt they're up for grabs, and they most likely are using a database for theirs, unless they call something points that don't come to mind real fast. I basically remade that for him though.

Light very kindly helped me with this.

Another silly question, on 0.4 Match Winner: bla shows up huge but in 0.2.8 it's tiny text that you can barely read. How to fix? >.<

Are you using a lot of colors in it? iirc 0.2.x thinks the message is really long because of all the color codes, & thus makes the text smaller so it fits the screen.

You probably fixed it already; I'm posting in case future readers have the same issue.

A classic case of something that should be trivial to add to the main game, but that isnt due to shitty third party options. Trondev has been dead for a long time.

When your best option is to make a bash script to parse thier failure, thats a shining beacon in the night of what the fuckery.
