Problem with 'language British English not found'.
I'm highly confused with this error.
I am running:
MAC OSX 10.4.11
2.1GHz PowerPC G5
2GB DDR2 SDRAM
From Terminal shell:
retro:~ echo$ cd /Users/echo/Desktop/
retro:~/Desktop echo$ ./armagetronad-dedicated
Internal Error: Internal error in static tLanguage* tLanguage::FindStrict(const tString&) in /Users/manuel/Desktop/Tron/Builds/armagetronad-0.2.8.3.2/MacOS/../src/tools/tLocale.cpp:150 :
Language British English not found.
Please send a Bug report!
This is what confused me:
nternal error in static tLanguage* tLanguage::FindStrict(const tString&) in /Users/manuel/Desktop/Tron/Builds/armagetronad-0.2.8.3.2/MacOS/../src/tools/tLocale.cpp:150
This isn't one of my directories.
I did this through terminal shell and direct launch. I still cannot find a solution! I have port forwarded as well.

Re: Problem with 'language British English not found'.
You're supposed to copy those folders (config, language, resource) along with the actual executable. It's best to keep everything in the same folder (you used the dmg, right?) unless you know what you're doing.
/Users/manuel/… is where the source files were located on the machine used to compile the game. Makes sense?

Mmm...I see. I did that now, and talk_to_master is 1.Jonathan wrote:You're supposed to copy those folders (config, language, resource) along with the actual executable. It's best to keep everything in the same folder (you used the dmg, right?) unless you know what you're doing.

The server doesn't appear though.

Assuming you're viewing the console .. Do you see people pinging the server?taku wrote:Mmm...I see. I did that now, and talk_to_master is 1.

If not ... Are your ports forwarded? You should forward the master port (not sure if necessary) 4533 and the server port(s) which are usually 4534+. So, you could just forward a range of 4533 - 4540 and that gives you 7 servers to use, though you don't have to use them all or anything.
Maybe you could throw us the IP and port and we could try a custom connect. If that works, we know the server is at least set up properly and able to be used remotely.

I do not see people pinging the server in my console. I will forward the master port and try that.

I have port forwarded port 4533. It does not show up on the LAN list, but doesn't show up on the master servers.
I'd really not want to share the IP of my server, but I will PM it if needed. It is on port 4534 and has the name of aP|Taku's server.

Then you don't want it on the master list. If it's on the master list, everyone connects to it via the IP. It's visible to anyone and everyone the second it's listed.taku wrote:I'd really not want to share the IP of my server

That's your internal IP. That's only useful within your local network. I need your external IP. You can usually find it in the router settings, or if you go to a site such as http://whatismyip.com.

174.55.231.64.
That's the external from that link.

Re: Problem with 'language British English not found'.
Unable to connect to your server. I'm going to suggest setting a static IP, and assuring your port forwarding is done correctly. Depending on the type of modem you're using, you may have to forward it to the router, then from the router to the static IP. Most modems don't require that though. Also, be sure you're setting either UDP or both TCP and UDP for it to work.
