That looks like to me that you still have a server running on 4534, and one on 4535 that did not get killed, you may need to
killall armagetronad-dedicated

When I port forwarded. I Port-forward with my internal IP because it wouldn't let me port forward my external. I'm not sure if that was the right thing to do. I just put this here so others can see.

Re: Confused with Hosting Armagetron Server on Mac.
ya, that is the way you do it, you let your router know which internal ip to allow that port.LittleSteps wrote:When I port forwarded. If you tell us your external IP we can try, else only moderators can see what your IP is. You can also look at a serverbrowser. If it shows up on there there is a good chance it will work for others.
EDIT: based on that log it does not say connecting to master ...., so TALK_TO_MASTER still must not be set.

Re: Confused with Hosting Armagetron Server on Mac.
I changed talk_to_master 1 here:
Is this the right place?
When I did this and Re-Launched the server it did this:
Sorry A bit longer than the others.
But my server is only showing in LAN.

that does will work, but when you update the server it will get erased. it is not a good habit to modify existing files.

Ah. But my server still doesn't show anywhere but the LAN server list? What other way is there that is not modifying the existing files. This has probably been told to me all ready though

Since it is on your internal network is shows up on your LAN list, But it is on the online list for me, as i could connect and destroy the bots.LittleSteps wrote:kyle wrote:Ah. Create a new file named settings_custom.cfg in that same location and put stuff in it.

Hey Light! I like all your server's and you have ton's of nice sets and everything! Do you think sometime you could come on to my server and kind of help me tweak the sets like the dz and what not ha-ha. Hope that is not too much to ask! I know you all are busy

The user data directory is the same as it was with older dedicated mac builds, ~/Library/Application Support/Armagetron Advanced Dedicated.Z-Man wrote:[…] Unfortunately, I don't yet where that new shiny mac build (thanks, dlh!) can take its config from, so.... dlh! Help!
So, ~/Library/Application Support/Armagetron Advanced Dedicated/config (you will need to create the config directory).
That will change the game-provided configdir—it would be better to use --userconfigdir.kyle wrote:you could run armagetron with the option --configdir /path/to/your/config_folder […]

Hey! Thank's for all your help guys.
I wanted to ask if there was any kind of downloading page for any kind of server scripts?

Maybe you can say what you want, and it will magically appear. Idk if I will, but I may if I have free time? And it would be helpful if you provided your settings along with script description.LittleSteps wrote:Hey! Thank's for all your help guys.

Up to you. Just thought I'd offer.
