Server "likes it" to kick out clients?

Post by Master38 »

I have the following problem:
I had my dedicated server run.
I connected to the server to wait for another players.
I saw the following:
The other client connected to the server, but did not play because he was not armathenticated.
Then I switched from spectator mode to playing. The computer enemies spawned and the server said following:

(IP of User) does not know about net object:Lisa.(Name of AI player)

And then the server disconnected the player:

Killing User 2,Ping 1.52.

Why the client got kicked? Too weak network/server?

Precisely that, at least for the connection to that particular client. The messages you saw all say that the client more or less timed out, it wasn't kicked.

It IS a timeout, but it seems for no reason.Just the server and the client was opened.
The RAM is 3 GB big and the OS is Windows Vista SP3.

Well, you certainly have local network problems. If you can make debug recordings of both the server and the client, we may be able to diagnose things. Keep the server AI free, they can mess things up.
