Fatal error installing Epel repo (for BZR) on CentOS 5.5

Post by Jules Winnfield »

Hi all,

I'm following the tutorial on wiki to setup multiple server on the same machine, however I'm stuck right now.

I'm hoping someone can help me.

http://wiki.armagetronad.net/index.php? ... x_computer

I try to install the epel repo:

su -c 'rpm -Uvh http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/e ... noarch.rpm'

However i get a fatal error:

Retrieving http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/e ... noarch.rpm
error: skipping http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/e ... noarch.rpm - transfer failed - Unknown or unexpected error

Did you try changing the 5-3 into a 5-4? I just checked at

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/epel/5/i386/

and it looks like epel-release-5-3.noarch.rpm isn't in there, epel-release-5-4.noarch.rpm is.

Just a stab in the dark because I have no clue what you're actually doing.

Great that worked!

Note to self: check yourself before asking stupid questions :P
