Making a dedicated.....

Post by Crazy »

i have arma dedicated downloaded.
and am putting the info in slowly.
but when i exit the info for the server just disappears.
is there a way to save the info so i can do it over along time but still be able to exit and shut my comp off?

also maps...
i have armabell and have some cool maps on it.
how do i make these xml files to aamap?
and what else do i have to do to get the maps set up and able to work on my server?
also what are codes to put maps in the game?

One post in one subforum usually is enough. And for your own enjoyment, use the wiki, my answers are basically directly from there.

Yes, instead of entering the settings at the server console, put them into a configuration file. Check where settings.cfg and settings_dedicated.cfg are; create a new file calles settings_custom.cfg there and put your stuff in there.

Dunno, sorry.

You'll need to put them on the resource repository or make them available for download elsewhere.

Code: Select all

MAP_FILE <path to map, starting from resource root>
if your map is on the repository, or

Code: Select all

MAP_FILE <path to map, starting from resource root>(<URL>)
If your map is available for download at <URL>.

Get in contact with luke-jr; you'll need an account there, then you can upload:
