feedback is necessary...
would like to invite you all to look at
constructive comments
at
http://wiki.armagetronad.net/index.php/ ... guidelines
and thence
to the ruminations page:
http://wiki.armagetronad.net/index.php/Ruminations
to add your thoughts as we experience the spoon organisation thing
so that there is a record of how people are thinking feeling as we go along...
so
please add your thoughts
this might be most useful later...
it's more like feedforward
than feedback
so
i might as well thank you in advance...

rank the players?
nice idea
but i think that's mainly the problem:
ego...
you know...
young men...
competition...
that kind of thing...?
my vision of the tronic progression is not really to rank
but rather
to form a competition so exciting and vast
that it encourages co-operation within teams
and
provides us with an opportunity to self-organise
ranking
or the results
are...
superfluous

ok so im going to need a list of everyone's names.... uhm z-man could u post the ladder stats for CVS, we could start from that list and work from their, i think we would have to have it out of 10 and take the average of what people say they think that persons rank is, or maybe we should just start from the people who have teams on the wiki list

we could say:
A-10
B-5
C-2.5
D-Dont know
then we could get a group of people together and they give the rank they think such player is, we add em up and divide by how many votes and thus we get the average of votes, and what rank each person gets, then we add up the averages from all players on a team and then do the same thing getting the team average and being able to make a playoff tree from this. This seems simple enough

Assuming that tactical voting didn't mean that Clueless_noob got voted 10/10 and Leet_grinder got 0 to slew the seedings.
Assuming also that enough people vote to make it worth it.
Assuming also that the people who vote know the other people well enough to make a good judgement.
The ladder from the CVS server I would think is not a good starting point, it seems to be very broken, certainly within a fortress setting.
