It's amazing. I hope this fills the gap left by the missing Shrunkland/BiH. It feels like something I would design myself, and I'll going to spend time there for sure. Well done.

Also, is it your intention for the single-player settings to be different than the multi-player?

Great server.
I have noticed the server has been full lately.

I know the point in 8 slots is reduce lag but have you thought about making the max_clients 10 but only leave 8 on the grid? Have 2 spectator slots open.
I've seen a bunch of servers with this hospitality. Empha's Sumo bar is an example as well as most fortress servers.

It's been up a day. Plus, it's a game room, not a chatroom.

Was the fact that the 2 open slots would be used to chat inferred?

The point in that is instead of refreshing the server over and over again to join and play, you can join in as a spec and then join in to play when a person leaves.
Also, if 2 people are spectating in the 8 slot server, only 6 are actually playing. Having 2 open slots allows those 2 spectators and 8 to still play.

Great idea, face it.

Thanks, fellas! Due to the heavy influence of my personal tastes in the settings, this server definitely has a strong 'Breakfast' flavor to it. I do think it's rather fine, if I do say so myself. Kudos to Agility for his implicit appreciation for said taste ( ) and approaching me about coming up with the settings, and to Scene for hosting it, so a server of this type can return to the game. Let's just hope it lasts.

I tell you what, though, it really goes to show how screwy things have gotten in this game that for nearly every "awesome!" it has received, there has been someone else (and not novice players) with at least a "wtf is this?"

Anyway, we are still ironing out a few things. I'm waiting on a PM with Agility on those—for example, on the SP settings and scoring method.

I still think you should call it Agilitron or something similar, heh.

The name staying the same :) and im changing scoring to 500 for 1 kill. Also there will be custom langauge files soon. From "core dumped" to "got de-rezzed".
Then "commited suicide" to "hugged mcp".

Also i changed max clients to 9 just cause i like meet people half way :) and its a odd number.

Does that mean 9 people will be playing? Or one spectator spot?

He means 8 players, 1 spectator.
Agility wrote:From "core dumped" to "got de-rezzed".
You want to nix the "got" from that. Otherwise, it'll read "Phytotron got de-rezzed Mkay for 500 points." Funky grammar, eh.
