I do have a question regarding single binding.

Whenever I make a 'triple' by single binding it's about as small as a tripled 'triple'. But when making multiple the boxes get bigger, though I dont feel as if I take more time between the hits. Or am I just being stupid?

I can do that. :P Maybe hop on the left instead.

But I still single.

where's your evidence?
Have you ever had to make a u-turn in a small space with only a little bit of rubber left? Pressing 2 keys at once is the optimal way of turning to use the least rubber.
The cycle delay is greater than the tunnel, and most players can make a turn of cycle delay width regardless of whether they double or single. Moreover, I don't understand how this is evidence of your statement claiming to be interested in digital music's analogous relation to double binding.

There are servers that lower CYCLE_DELAY. Just a tiny bit, by 0.099 seconds.

Wow, either tell me or stop wasting my time with red herrings. To be honest, I don't think you know what you're talking about.

Single binding offers no benefits and some disadvantages (like the one I gave).

is it so hard to believe single binding can offer certain advantages?

the manner of exploiting them depends on the player.

Single binding leads to a different mindset that can definitely help. And it makes heavy multi-binders look like they're just diddling around.

Sometimes I think about it as the difference between strategy and tactics. With single binding I am less directly responsive to any given situation so I think further ahead and try to strategically trap my opponents so that they die. When double binding I can be more responsive and therefore can tactically emerge from certain doom.

tank is right, and too often they are confused

tactics are sets of plans to accomplish strategic objectives. Strategy consists of the objectives one decides to reach in order to win.

I can really agree with tank's viewpoint here. Until I started to single bind a ton more, I pretty much sucked. Now, I only use multi-binds for certain things. But, I do a lot more strategizing than just reacting.

Hmm I don't know about that I've been multibinding for a long long time and I don't feel any different when I single bind though when I double bind around I usually leave a small delay so I can later grind back through.

Remember how Rocky improved as he practiced swimming and dancing?

also, sometimes, when one is forced taking an alternate route he discovers new things.

kinda covers it all.
