'fraid bunnies!
Since over explaining ruins every joke, as abstract as it might be, I will go ahead and ruin this one.
There was an old comic strip that I haven't seen in a gazillion eons. It was called "Life In Hell" by Matt Groening. It has many interesting characters. Most of them had unusually shaped heads. You may have seen some of these characters make cameo appearances in the simpsons. I recall Chief Wiggum had some bunnies slippers once that were pretty much life in hell characters.
Anyway, in one 'episode' of many eons ago, an infantile character kept saying:
'fraid bunnies!
It's parent kept exlaining how bunnies were nice, and there was no need to be afraid of them.
'fraid bunnies! it repeated.
But bunnies are soft and furry, and will never hurt you.
'fraid bunnies!
Now this went on for several panels, until the parent finally convined the young one that bunnies were wonderful creatures that were no cause for concern.
there was a pause
'fraid monkies! the young one then proclaimed.
For some info on Matt Groening's Life in Hell, hit google. For an example comic strip, visit http://www.zverina.com/bestbooks/comix.htm
*edit, it might have been the monkey he was a fraid of first, and then said fraid bunnies at the end. I can't remember. I only read it once, more than 15 years ago (maybe longer). I say this because I googled a page of life in hell quotes http://www.nyctophilia.net/lifeinhellquotes.html and it shows it in the other order.
so i repeat, 'fraid bunnies!
