North American Mirror

JJBean:
was just wondering if it was
possible to mirror servers. Since
i play speed blast regularly and have
noticed a substantial rise in my ping. If it
is, this would also be useful for the bugfarm
servers. It would certainly make a lot of people
happy not having to deal with the enormus slides
and inconsistancy between the European players and
North Amercians. I know I am always getting mad when
a player of lesser skills dumps me when I am being displayed
even with this player or ahead of.

You can have clones, servers with exactly the same settings.
In theory, you could set up a server running on the transfer cable in the middle of the atlantic to give European and North American players comparable ping.
You could, also in theory, implement a proxy server that gives American players low lag among each other, but still play with European players on an European server.

effort to complete? I would like to help but

At some later point, yes. (I assume you're talking about the second theory :) ) Right now, the program architecture isn't really geared towards proxying.

Oh, and no plans to expand Tigers Network at all.
