Today, the ping was quiet normal and I had no problems with lags. Another solution than restart, wait for the problem, restart, etc. would be great.

I had the same problem in nukezone (0271 dedicated), I think the problem has been solved in 0280 but anything below starts to get ping errors and random deaths after a lot of traffic has passed through the server

As a workaround tank has set dedicated_idle 1 in the config so that the server will shutdown if no players have been playing for 1 hour

by running the server startup inside a loop something like this while(){armagetron}; the server will automatically restart after it shuts down and the ping problem fixed

tank will be able to explain the restart loop in greater detail if anybody needs to know

I don't do the same thing on my server because of ladder decay issues. I know you have a fix for this iceman, but it doesn't quite sit well with me. I'll restart the servers again today. Some of the lag you may have experienced might have been me actually using my connection properly for once. (Something I rarely do because of its, as you see, disastrous effects in game.)

Well its truely a ping prob, mine is 1, and its so low, i guess the server is next room :D , the lags are minimized, much better than weeks ago.

Is it a solution to download stuff (hehe not what u think) to get ping normal  just joking.
