server stats...

Post by Tank Program »

So, I was doing a bit of checking up on disk usage, and I discovered something horrible... The stats are using up about 8.5GB of disk space on the server. Or really, the giant stats history is. Would anyone really care if I just sort of disabled online stats until I get around to writing a new system? (Could take a while...)

I entirely forgot. I'll probably wind up deleting and disabling though.

They're disabled for now. I'm working on something like http://electricpotential.net/temp/tankprogram.html to replace the disabled stats.

It would be great.

Now users are complaining to me about their beloved stats. Sigh sigh... :o :D

I always tell them they are so bad that I can't understand why they want the whole world can see their stats.

Just kidding.

The Tigers classic server appears to be abandoned by all admins, and the players follow :-(

I think the reason the players leave is that pings are close to 0ms again (has been like that for a long time already I think).

Hi mathot,

It's true about the low ping thing. I do not know what's going on, neither Tank. A server restart is actually the only known thing wich can help for a moment. But then the problem is coming back once again. Not with all players thought. Sometimes I can see players with high ping.

For the Admin problem, I'm playing less than before but I try to be present at least 2 or 3 times per day. And some old players are still playing. But it's true the server look abandoned, empty...Pretty sad if you ask me. The low ping problem is the main problem to this situation.

Yeah that's partially my fault. Armagetron, once the center of my universe, is gradually getting further away from the center as it expands.

ha ha... :D That's life.

Did you find what's the problem with the ping problem ? Actually the situation went back to normal and ping are now, once again, perfect.
