I figured out what my problem with WinCVS was after downloading Tortoise and was able to get the files out of CVS.

I just don't want to recommend that because we're not supporting "testing" yet.

EDIT: I don't want to have people download from CVS and then ask us why things are broken. When we reach the testing phase, for testers, then we will expect to hear feedback about how things are broken or can be improved.
Marrow, about the downloading before its ready, is there a way where you can put a little file where you can download it from CVS (dont know what it is) but the download isnt what you are working on? Then when its finished you can change it back to Armagetron Adv. ?

I'm going to let Tank handle the public aspect of things from here on out.

If somebody needs to discuss something related to the project, e-mail me at [email protected]

Until our project team has reached a phase where we are satisfied that all things are nearly operational, there will be no testing. Anything that is downloaded from CVS before the tme we deem it is ready for test will not be supported, and may possibly be broken. When we are satisfied that things are operational, we will make a release which everyone will be able to enjoy. Until that time, once again, we strongly do not recomend downloading the CVS as there are major changes going on in the source which may break things, and we do not have the time to help people with it because we will be busy fixing the problems. Shortly before all things are operational, we will distribute nearly fully functional copies to our testers for feedback, and to see if any other bugs pop up. So, we'll be ready when we are ready, until then, just be patient please. We're doing a lot of work here, and we do not need to dedicated a lot of time and effort into helping the people with CVS until we have something that is nearly stable.

Just try typing it in google. That's what I always do when I don't know something. No need to ask us here unless you've already asked google. As I like to say "Go Google and get Answers!"

I use WinCVS

on
https://sourceforge.net/project/admin/c ... _id=110997
are the following informations:
CVS Server: cvs.sourceforge.net
Path to Repository: /cvsroot/armagetronad

I try to checkout and the following error appears:
cvs checkout -P -A /cvsroot/armagetronad (in directory L:\Aktenkoffer Anwendungsentwicklung\Anwendungsentwicklung\armaqgetronad)
cvs [server aborted]: Absolute module reference invalid: `/cvsroot/armagetronad'
cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any)

***** CVS exited normally with code 1 *****
where is my fault?

Here some Pic's with my settings:
