We went to a local gun club for their traditional easter egg shooting (you shoot at regular targets, not the eggs, of course). Funnily, the one guy who went to the military was outclassed by the other men, who in turn were outclassed by the women.

Well, what do eggs and a bunny have to do with Easter? (I know, I know, relics of paganic fertility rites, but what does it have to do with this rising from the grave stuff?) The Easter Egg Shooting is of course just a recruiting event for said gun club. And as I said, the targets were the regular ones: cardboard squares with concentric circles painted on.

Oh yea, happy Easter, whether you use it as an excuse for shooting at stuff or not.

LOL

And eggs have do new life. and the chocolate ones, well back when chicken eggs were used, the children didn't want to eat them, so there mothers decided to paint them and hide them in the forest. The children were tricked to go out and look for berries, when one child found a painted egg. They did not know what kind of bird layed such colourful eggs. Then one chiled saw that a hare (not a bunny) was sitting on one. They assumed that the hare had layed it. Then the chocolate came later when they go bored of eating hare eggs. So their mothers made the eggs out of chocolate so the kids could have a treat.

wow, that was a lot of typing. Well there you go z-man. Now what does shooting have do do with easter?

The odd bit is the Easter Thriller movies where the easter bunny starts attacking the kids with a chainsaw...
