Actual Core Dump

As I'm sure many of you know, I mainly use linux, and its pretty cool. But I did something incredible yesterday: I got a core dump in linux.

my console wrote:/bin/bash: line 1: 8117 Segmentation fault (core dumped) irssi

Now isn't that something? "XX core dumped YY for ZZ points" always sound so realistic.. I had no idea how so, just goes to show I guess, these things do happen.

irssi dumped core.... awww...

what would be truly scary is if you ever got /bin/bash to dump core... then I'd lose faith in linux (oh no!)

otherwise I get core dumps from several to even hundreds of times a day, depending on how persistent I'm at debugging (and failing at it)

I get core dumps from running Xine sometimes.

Never had irssi die on me yet.

on the topic i think the game should include the windows classic "page fault in nonpaged area", maybe instead of "commited suicide"?
