Interesting project. I'll keep my eyes on it, though I don't know if I have a use case for it.

I've read through this entire website and I still don't understand what Urbit is trying to be. Some sort of weird meshnet? I can't understand how anyone is supposed to be able to access it.

This:
First, scarcity: there are only 232 (~4B) Urbit IDs, so they cost something. Since they cost something, people are less likely to use them to spam or abuse the network. When you meet a stranger with an Urbit ID, you know they have some skin in the game (even without leaking personal data in either direction).
Is a logical fallacy. If I purchase a storefront, this is no guarantee that I am not ripping off the customers that enter. Just because someone has purchased an environment in which to meet, there is no guarantee that they are not intending to recoup their investment by defrauding whom they meet.

It's complete gibberish to me. It's stuff that interacts with stuff. Isolated neat concepts, but what the hell is the point for the user? What can the human actually do with the system?

I only heard about this because someone told me to "check it out, its amazing" but to me it does seem like gibberish

I thought I was missing something but I guess not.

It's good to get other opinions, Thanks
