To surround ourselves with beautiful things....or nostalgia. Most mordern toys look boring (due to the forbidden swalloable components), they're nearly all made of plastic and not of sheet metal. In the 60s most toys were produced in Japan, not in China. These toys had sharp edges and an interesting inner life. they were fun to play with. We repair them if we need to. You can learn a lot about real cars, too. And they all somehow represent the spirit of their time (for example military toys from the early phase of the cold war, or the Monkee Mobile ). they are inspiring. whenever you have too less ideas you can just take a look at your shelves.
