Here's my new desktop. I'm liking it a lot, but it is kinda hard to read the wiki with it. Also, the rim wall graphic doesn't tile well on the panel.
Also, I don't want a separate task bar, I want a second panel that contains my task bar and also the clock. Anybody know how to do that?
Edit: I'd also really like to pull out the code in armagetron that renders the background to the menus and make *that* my background.

Whoops. I can better stop talking about this.Walking Tree wrote:M=10^6 sounds more likely to me than 10^3.
Mine is very similar, except the background is a pure gray and it has lots of files on it (more functional?).nemostultae wrote:My desktop really hasn't changed much. But...
1024x768 in 8 bits per channel RGB is 2.25 MiB uncompressed. My screen would be 3.12744140625 MiB. Maybe I should have used a 10^6 prefix here.SkullFlame69@diablo2 wrote:bigger then 2mb? how big of a screen do you have?
The problem is probably the filr type. Is it a bmp?BlackWolf wrote:sorry to be so dumb.. but can u plz tell me how u posted ur desktops like up^^^ there??

@tank: is that on strawberry ?
@lucifer: right-click on the panel -> Add To Panel -> Panel -> Panel
then on the new panel right click -> add to panel -> applet -> taskbar || clock
does anyone know how to make one kde taskbar transparent and one not ? (only gnome feature kde lacks AFAIK)

This SkullFlame dude is a little slow on the uptake. We don't want to see all the desktop pics/wallpapers that you have on your hard drive. We want to see a screenshot of your actual desktop.
BlackWolf: When posting a reply, scroll below the entry field and see the button that says "Add an Attachment." Click it. The page will reload, now with a button that says "Choose File." Click it. Navigate to your screenshot and select it. You'll see its name right there. Optionally, enter something into the File Comment field. Click the second button that says "Add Attachment." It'll upload and reload the page. Now click "Submit." Viola.

Go to your desktop, then press the Print Screen button.
Open Paint or something similar, and then pres ctrl+V or just right click and select paste.
Then save it, be sure to save it like a .JPG and not as the standard of .bmp.
Tree, like my desktop?
Awwww, why does Tank always do that... That spoils the fun
HAHAHA nice iceman
