We should realize that addiction is not in the first place a biochemical term. It is, before anything else, a clinical term. That the biochemists and neuro scientists also have something to say about it does not change this fact. When we were talking about this on the grid we were talking about the subject of sex addiction. If you actually want to inform yourself about this and why it might not be such a fortunate term, you could read something of/about Marty Klein, who actually is a clinical psychologist.
