I purchased one similar to the one you ordered for my dad for Christmas. I'm sure you're aware since the product mentions "for android" but there's a $5 app on android that interfaces with it. It's a really nifty gadget.
Torque. There's a free version that should give me what I need right away, and if it does, I will
gladly pay the $5 for the full version. I'm way too much of a car guy to stick with the disabled apps for that.
On a side note, Ratchet, I really wanted to prank-ban you for your post in the Affray 1 thread, but showed some discretion and didn't.
But you know it would have been fun! (For both of us, I hope)
Edit:
As for the Taurus, I'm heavily leaning towards fuel pump. I need to wait a few weeks before I can buy an appropriate fuel pressure tester, and I'm not going to just throw a fuel pump at it and hope for the best. I need to run the actual test series to be sure, since I'll be doing it in an apartment complex parking lot with hand tools and jack stands.
Today I acquired a 1992 Nissan Maxima. I'm going to pay for it by bartering tutoring services with the option to pay in cash should we have it (got it from a friend, where your word is your bond sort of thing). Total price is $500. Solid engine (I ran the vacuum test on it). It has a few quirks, because, well, you know, it's old. But it runs well, and it's the first car that I could call mine since my Celica crapped out in OK City in 2011. We'll be a two car family when I get the Taurus back on the road, and in the meantime, this Maxima should fill in the gaps quite well.
