I completely forgot to mention the JSRF soundtrack. Here again, not something I would listen to outside of the game, but music which was very suited to the aesthetics and mood of the game; very fun. It also features this awesomely insane tune: Cibo Matto - Birthday Cake (Live)

Perhaps it's just the part at the end which triggers it...the clanging guitar sound and the long interval of the drums being quiet. :)
