Well, damn, I had a few more things I wanted to attach, but the forum is apparently being overrun by Gremlins or something. (If you haven't seen that movie, rent or buy it today.) So in the meantime, it's Christmas at Ground Zero!

In addition, as my last few days of avatars indicate, I recently learned about the Krampus. Certainly makes the Santa myth more interesting and amusing. Much more ominous and entertaining than a weak "threat" of lumps of coal and switches in the stockings of naughty children.

Not that I would condone telling any of these myths as truth to children. Speaking of which, Dawkins has a wonderful new children's book called The Magic of Reality: How We Know What's Really True that covers all sorts of creation myths and whatnot. Would've made an excellent xmas gift.
