That's some kind of weird link.
No link from me, just a very strange Pandora inclusion from a few minutes ago:

Why you posting a political interview in this thread? You could've at least accompanied it with a link to one of the songs, give it some appearance of porpriety. And on the subject, in general stop posting irrelevant shit, like that dumbass Obama golf game and stuff.
But since you already did it....
On that specific instance, I heard/read not a single example of complaint over here about that segment. On the other hand, there was a lot of criticism from Americans about NBC cutting away from the ceremony's tribute to the victims of the 7/7 London bombings.
Speaking of the Olympics: How about the American women, huh?! Woohoo, Title IX! If they were their own country, they would've tied Great Britain's for second (29) behind China (38) in their total golds. Overall, the women's 58 medals trailed only China, Russia, and GB in total medals. The Olympics may not mean much, the original intent superceded by crass commercialism and brand assault, but this actually does mean something.
Also, the line about how there were all these countries from around the world decending on Great Britain to plant their flags, try to acquire a lot of gold and other precious metals, and boost their national prestige. It's like history in reverse.

Word-m-f-ing-up. Not only true of that specific instance, but in general.[A]ny time you see anybody saying: "Oh, the American people didn't like this, they resented it, etc" ... they're lying.

There is a music player on the bottom of the interview with all the songs, and a youtube video inbetween.Phytotron wrote:Why you posting a political interview in this thread? So there is, fine. I didn't even acknowledge the youtube video (so many times videos in the middle of an article are just an ad), and I stopped scrolling at the interview, before the player. I knew all that followed was another damn comments section, and I never read those. Why the hell does every damn site now feel obligated to have one of those, even serious news sources? Still, you should've pointed it out.

Our big news sites currently discuss that (Spiegel, Focus, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Welt), after one blogger said he got "enough". Some want to turn off all commentary, some want more moderators (ideally just experienced community members and no employees), and some think there needs to be a rating system like youtube's to make dumb comments less visible.Phytotron wrote:Why the hell does every damn site now feel obligated to have one of those, even serious news sources?
