Pilsener is not only a type of beer but also the place where it originally come from. It's a light malt suited to the VERY low hardness of the water. Guinness is a dark malt suited to the hard water that it's from.
I like beer but Idon't drink any of the ones listed. The best Aussie beer (other than my own brew) is Coopers. It's bottle fermented (secondary) still.
There are more bad beers out there than good, considering how easy it is to brew a good beer, I will never understand this.
