Izzi! Good to see some more old players returning.

For anyone reading this and still having concerns about hemorrhaging, the current data suggests that the percentage of patients with such a response is less than 0.001% (edit: and that number is still higher than it would otherwise be, because it includes patients with pre-existing conditions requiring blood thinning treatment) . There are some concerns around certain subsections of the population experiencing minor issues, such as temporary pericarditis (inflammation of the heart tissue), but these are easily manageable with medication, and not life-threatening. The NHS also has a macretype for these patients, so they will be monitored for 72 hours. The NHS is freely sharing this information with other health organisations around the world.

To put this into context, the UK has now vaccinated a huge percentage of its population, and the reports of side-effects requiring medication are limited to, last I read, three patients. That's out of several million. Each of those three patients were released after one night of observation with no further complications.

Z-Girl got her first shot the other week, pretty much at the earliest possible time (off-label was too scary). A big relief. She'll get the second one week after school starts again, probably.

Glad to read that. Stay healthy!

My anti-vax, hard-right-leaning-cousin isn't allowed to visit grandma anymore and I feel great about it, haha.

I got boosted on December 14th. Eight days later I met some friends at a brewery that made me uncomfortable because it was packed with people. It was only the third time I've socialized at an enclosed public space since the beginning of the pandemic. The following day I had a runny nose. On Christmas Eve I felt pretty bad, so I stood in line outside for over an hour to get a rapid Covid test. It was negative, but I had to cancel all my plans that day anyway. On Christmas morning I was too sick to get out of bed for any amount of time. Same for the following day. One week later (Saturday night) I was feeling back to normal, but decided I would still go for my scheduled PCR test the upcoming Monday. Today (Tuesday) I woke up feeling bad again. Wound up sleeping for 11 hours or so. My test results came back positive.

You're a good defender, I'm sure you'll outgrind that shit-virus and smack it against the wall as if it was Gonzap. (no offense to Gonzap)
