Re: Pickup Fortress Matchmaking (new algo)
There's a reason they hire former professional athletes to become analysts of the same sport...I do believe that re-educating the tierings by more democratic means would likely sacrifice accuracy for transparency That's also partly why I suggested a rotational panel, and why the criteria should ide...

Re: Pickup Fortress Matchmaking (new algo)
"is player 1 better|worse|equal to player 2?" I don't really like this sort of approach, it's a bit too vague for me. The reason I made the above suggestion is because we can create a list of capabilities and successes, and base the results on tangible evidence. That means no personal imp...

Re: macOS WIP
Does this mean that functional builds are "officially" available for M platforms now?

Re: Pickup Fortress Matchmaking (new algo)
I might consider adding the command !merge <@player> <@player> to the bot, to reduce the impact (and, indeed, the possibility) of smurfing. That would work in the case of, say, Subliminal, who cycles throwaway Discord accounts frequently (Just to note - she's not smurfing here). Apple, Mr, Magi, Joh...

Re: What are you listening to right now?
Call me a heathen if you like, but I always much preferred the Placebo cover. There's something weird about the way Kate Bush sings, much as I can't put my finger on it.

Re: What are you listening to right now?
I was a little metalhead back in the day (and I'm a big one now), so I was always into those Line6 things with the band presets. I sold it a few years ago along with my guitars, and I regret it every day. Some day I'll get myself another razorback, but I can't remember for the life of me what pickup...

Re: My Animation Project
Cor, that brought me right back to the mid 00's. Sounds like the sort of thing I'd have on my ipod flying around exi skatepark as a young teen. Wicked track.

Re: Armagetron now available on MacPorts
Thanks for looking out for our Mac users, we previously had an experimental build only. I'll shout a few people who I think will benefit from this. FYI, most of our community is now on Discord (much to my chagrin). You can also join us, if you like, using the following URL: https://discord.gg/dcpaauj

Re: TST revised
2v2 feels somewhat barren. However, I wonder what 4v4 would bring to the table. We could even adjust spawn points somwhat to cater for such a game - and in doing so create a new sumo format that might be a little more fun to play. I know it sounds like WST with extra steps, but hear me out. in a 4v4...
