Re: Should We Rebuild the Wiki?
This is me begging for you to make this happen. With the very little spare time that I have, I have tried to do this on a much smaller scale, because it is what we need. I am now pursuing the IT certs that I need to get a job in IT. Back in the day, I was a CNE in versions 3 and 4 of Novell Netware....

Re: Bi-weekly
Nin, I understand that you have had no need for a wiki, and I would like to explain a little better why I am making a new and simplistic wiki just for tournaments. It has been my experience that many players will play the game just to be ready for the next tournament. Best example, for many years wh...

Re: Bi-weekly
The real key is a wiki that works. Clearly, Z-man is busy enough that he just doesn't have the time right now to do what is necessary to turn the wiki over to Lucifer so he can fix it. I am setting up a temporary wiki just to organize meetups and tournaments. It won't be as pretty or do as much fun ...

I am sad to hear of your divorce, Lucifer. I do wish you the best.
I get what you are saying about the nature of this game, thank you for the reality check. I see where I was wrong.

Re: Final Ladle (RIP Tron)
I am slowly working on a very basic Wiki so we can organize another one and other tournaments.

Re: A public letter to Z-man.
The reason I posted here was to get the community's thoughts. Quite frankly, I like them much better than my own. With signifiicant updates, I could see this game as a paid one. But personally, I would prefer the idea of the integration of pc and mobile platforms. Your thoughts are greatly appreciat...

Re: A public letter to Z-man.
Well, let's talk but this. It has been discussed here before. Micro transactions that are "power ups" are very profitable, but ruin the game, so those are out. But, how about "virtual hats". How about offering a marketplace for custom moviepacks, custom cycles that others can see...

Re: A public letter to Z-man.
I agree. we think that there is room for both. They see the creative value of doing the development as much open source as possible. The idea on my part is simple. By having just a few proprietary components that are monetized, developers can be working on improving things, but by actually making mo...

Re: A public letter to Z-man.
I have been talking with a few devs i know here locally in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. They would like to see what some of this stuff looks like now actually being played. I have been pitching them on creating a newer codebase, as has been discussed here, perhaps using Unity, and some in-game monetization...

A public letter to Z-man.
I would like to start off by saying that this letter is about the Wiki, but it is also about so much more that I decided that it would better fit in the General Section. Most importantly, I would like to thank you for the many years of work on this project that goes well beyond that of a developer. ...

Ok, Lucifer. Repeat after me, as if I were a Jedi using the force. "I am motivated to update DLH's extensions to bring life back to the game that I love and have contributed to."

Re: Upgrading the wiki
Just checking on how things are going, Lucifer. There is some interest in more tournaments and I would like to capitalize on that to try to get people actually playing the game again. I have some servers up on VPS's that have Anti-DDOS protection, so things can go smoother. I just await the wiki wor...

Re: FoosterNET Hosting (Free during beta testing!)
Thanks for letting me know. Sty+ct is fine, I am just kinda spoiled with some of the bells and whistles that sty+ct+ap has. Since sty+ct+ap is not really being maintained, I do really expect it to suffer bitrot over time. I am glad to help with some alpha/beta testing. Just looking at your UI and kn...

Wild West Servers/DDOS protection
I have found 3 decent VPS's that I can host from very inexpensively and have DDOS protection. The current Wild West Servers are hosted in New York, Buffalo, New York and my Ladle server is too. I also have a server I am setting up in Dallas, Texas, and one in Roubaix, France. All of these are protec...
