Here are some RPMs I built from rc 3. I built them on Gentoo and tested them on SuSE 9.1 Personal. They're gzipped so the forum accepts them, I know it does not make them smaller
They require libstdc++ version 5.
Edit: systems that use GCC 3.3 will have that version.

Release process for 0.2.7.1
We decided ( OK, I suggested, klax supported the suggestion and Tank did not protest heavily enough ) to make the release process public so we get a bit of testing from the one or the other community member and can correct mistakes before we made the effort of a full release. The process goes as fol...

The bots (and people) can now often get out of the arena. GDB does it in particular. It's probably the same bug, the nasty thing is that the bots KNOW they can exploit it because their sensors are affected, too. I'll update the CVS test servers to the 0.2.7.1 branch for now. Do you know under what ...

Hehe. Actually, in upcoming 0.2.7.1, the way rubber lets you approach a wall has been made framerate-independent. Before, you were allowed to cut your distance to the wall in half. This sucks for the reasons you gave. Now, there is a configuration variable called CYCLE_RUBBER_SPEED. In a time T, you...

Ah. Thanks for the concern, then. To calm everyone ( mostly myself :) ) down who thinks that by my more detailed exploit description the risk of exploits being used has been increased: Everyone with the capability of writing exploit code would have gotten the same information from the patch itself. ...

this fixin that packet problem? You should clarify your question if you want a useful answer :) The problems fixed are: - A packet with a fake sender ID caused a crash - A message with a fake message ID caused a crash - < Another silly error Edited away because it is easy to exploit once you know i...

Wall tunneling: it is currently possible to tunnel through other player's walls at the last turn they made. To reproduce, drive along someone else's trail when they are driving straight for a long time. When the other player turns towards you, you turn in the opposite direction towards his trail at ...

You are probably using GCC 3.4, the sources for 0.2.7.0 and 0.2.6.0 are incompatible with it. I'm afraid that for this particular problem, there is no patch floating around, but Armagetron 0.2.6.1 ( released yesterday ) or Armagetron Advanced CVS should work. Or you can fix the problem manually: eve...

Yeah, like, we haven't got anything better to do than hang out in a chat room. If we were all there all the time, nothing would get done. :roll: And have you heard of that thing called ... sleep? Or work? Some people have strange concepts of reality. On the topic at hand: It is paranoid to think OGL...

That's only since I commit every little thing because I'm working in parallel on 4 different computers and CVS is the most convenient way to copy stuff around. And for almost every commit, I have to push another one fixing the stuff the first one brokeklax wrote:As u will see z-man is very busy lately

As far as I remember from another thread, the changelog would be semi-auto-generated from the CVS log entries on every release ( someone found a tool for it ), so there is no changelog that presents the current events in CVS. There is the bug and feature request database on SF. In some instances ( I...
