from memory, this is what I remember showhelion doing. he is gold. the blue wall was present before he started his manouvre IIRC. I am not 100% cartain that this is exactly correct, but it illustrates the problem as I see it. I have drawn the gold line inside and outside, mainly because I am not sur...

wtf? server hiding???
I am trying to resurrect a server I was working on prior to a distro upgrade and am having a somewhat strange problem. The server seems to start, but when I try to connect through the LAN, nothing is there in the browser. Custon connect also fails. So, I try telnet to the server (not expecting anyth...

I assume you are running windows. tbh I don't know the reason for posting links to gcc and VC++ versions, but I am pretty sure that from the users point of view there is no difference. Download either, and if it works, all is good. If it does't, try the other :) I am sure that either one will be ok ...

that's pretty much the idea, but I think a straight 180 would be easier than trying to loop back as you describe. Apologies for reinventing the wheel, but there is an awful lot of info to take in from your posts. Perhaps it would be helpful to put a quick quiz at the end, to make sure that everyone ...

Maybe this is worth trying? Center guy between two DGers is pretty much doomed - maybe he can get through the tunnel into the enemy zone, or maybe he can wiggle about in the center long enough to escape, but in general he will die an early death. SO Why not use centre guy as goalkeeper? just before ...

Im not sure I agree with your views on referees. In my mind, the whole point of a referee is to provide an impartial arbitration over disputes, which players are generally likely to agree with *because* of the impartiality. Nominating a referee from either playing side (active or not) would not reso...

I am still struggling with the concept despite reading this thread every day. Would the runners be able to kill cycles? I guess yes. would cycles be able to kill runners? I guess no. so why have cycles? I love FPS and I love tron, but then I love steak, and I love custard, but steak and custard? I t...
