Re: Neat hearing test

I think me earphones must drop off, I can hear 16kHz very loud but then nothing at 17kHz, at least I hope so, I'm only 18, I haven't had long enough to mess my ears up that badly...

Re: Cycling

Yeh those 'green boxes' are all over the place around where I cycle to work. A lot of drivers just ignore them or there isn't room between cars to get yourself to the front. Plus it can be a bit iffy if the lights go green while you're working your way through to the front. What I have seen was a co...

Re: Ladle 71

Thanks for the match rZ! And thanks CT even though I didn't get to play you :) Renegade's - 0 It started off a little iffy but tbh that might have been my brother on youtube. It gradually settled out and by the end it was pretty clean, just with usual US lagometers. However I know some of my team ha...

Re: What if?

I don't think we in first world countries could ever have a proper long term famine crisis, ie not more than 3/4 years absolute tops. We have the capability to produce food from things like fungal biotanks, similar to the way they currently make food such as quorn. That and our current obsession wit...

Re: Education! (Split from Drawing Game)

That whole second portion of your post was exactly what I just said, porn for women should be like porn for men.

And I'm glad we're getting into personal insults, this sounds like fun -.-

Re: Education! (Split from Drawing Game)

Porn is showing sex, if it doesn't sexualise the focus then what would be the point? You are aware of the point of porn, yes? The point of porn should be to sexualise your desired gender in a way that you find sexually stimulating.
Sexualise doesn't neccessarily mean demean. (Awful sentence to read)

Re: Education! (Split from Drawing Game)

Now we need to find some female gamers and ask if they find that attractive.

Re: Education! (Split from Drawing Game)

Well I think a lot of women watch and enjoy the same porn, but it's difficult to call it sexist when the point of it is to show off women in a way that is sexually appealing to men. Sure there is a lot of misogynistic porn but that's it's own genre and if there is one thing going for porn, it's that...

Re: Education! (Split from Drawing Game)

I realize there's a market for sexist games, and that goes both ways, too. I don't believe that the games themselves are sexist. Porn isn't sexist and what some of these games are is basically soft porn with a playable storyline. The fact that the companies aren't offering female targeted versions ...

Re: Education! (Split from Drawing Game)

The weird thing is that apparently female gamers are voting with their wallet (or purse) and yet the companies don't seem to have noticed. And yes a boycott would work in the long term, but the difficulty is convincing the male gaming community that not buying games they want to buy is in their inte...

Re: Education! (Split from Drawing Game)

Anyway, my point being that I don't think gamers are sexist to the point of not wanting gaming to be accessible to women, they just object to people who are wanting to water down the games they currently enjoy that are clearly male targeted. You mean take out the sexisim you enjoy so much? I think ...

Re: Education! (Split from Drawing Game)

Just wait until Magic Mike: The game comes out  I'm still at a loss as to what I can do here though, short of actually writing these arguments down and actually sending them to the gaming companies. As far as I can see it's up to the gaming companies to recognise that the market is out there, e...
