Re: Should We Rebuild the Wiki?
I'd be 100% OK with you just taking over the Wiki. I could give you a database dump and the media files no problem. That is, if anyone objects to their username/password/email getting transferred, I could scrub the user database and we'd be left with the content. At least, I assume that's how it wo...

As a note, anyone who would like to use the wiki and make changes can do so by making an account at the following URL. I will keep this wiki up as long as it's useful to people.

Re: Lightron + Armagetron Repository: Upgrades & Changes
Thanks for keeping up Lightron.org, I think it's probably the most valuable resource in ArmagetronAd right now! :) I'd love to see this game thrive again. I'm not ready to give up on it. I've had a busy life recently having gotten married, a house, all the problems that come with getting a house an...

Re: Should We Rebuild the Wiki?
This is me begging for you to make this happen. With the very little spare time that I have, I have tried to do this on a much smaller scale, because it is what we need. I am now pursuing the IT certs that I need to get a job in IT. Back in the day, I was a CNE in versions 3 and 4 of Novell Netware...

Should We Rebuild the Wiki?
With all of the problems the wiki is having, I have set up a quick alternative using MediaWiki. Do you guys think it would be a good idea to start rebuilding? You can literally copy and paste the pages over, and we would need to rebuild the templates as well. I have tested with one of my pages to se...

Lightron + Armagetron Repository: Upgrades & Changes
There have been some recent updates to Lightron that also affect the Armagetron Repository (in a good way). Bandwidth There has been a change of ISP, and an upgrade to bandwidth. Lightron is now hosting on a 500mbps / 50mpbs connection, allowing for much faster downloading of larger files, and handl...

This has been brought up quite a few times, but always seems to be shot down. Maybe it'll be different this time, but here's a search of past ones. http://forums3.armagetronad.net/search.php?keywords=steam&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&st=0&ch=3...

Re: A public letter to Z-man.
Well, let's talk but this. It has been discussed here before. Micro transactions that are "power ups" are very profitable, but ruin the game, so those are out. But, how about "virtual hats". How about offering a marketplace for custom moviepacks, custom cycles that others can se...

Re: Most Stable version of armagetronad to compile?
I always suggest sty+CT, but I have both that and sty+CT+ap. Regular 0.2.8 missed out on things like styball and CTF. AP mostly has racing features added to it. My sty ct servers run with no problems 24/7 (sort of ... Dedicated idle and all) Also, I have saved a bit of issues by compiling with gcc5.

Re: FoosterNET Hosting (Free during beta testing!)
Just as a random bit of info. I also run my servers in containers, and there's a fun thing you can do as far as hosting goes. Being that the game server only uses UDP, you can forward the same port for TCP connections to 22 (or whatever your SSH server runs on), making each person use a single port ...

EDIT: I have a server up containing these settings, except the MAP_FILE and RESOURCE_REPOSITORY_SERVER since those settings in the config are invalid There's a copy of it on the arma resource, assuming there wasn't any changes made on the other repo. Re: Final Ladle (RIP Tron)
Since CT no longer seem to have a site, I'll stick the config on my domain so there's two points of access, the other being Compguygene if he's game. Will be updated prior to the event Ladle Config: http://vixendev.co.uk/resources/external/armagetronad/ladle/ladle110.cfg Authorities: http://vixende...
