...we've talked off and on about updating the wall texture in the trunk. That's where I thought you were going with this. I'll keep my eyes open for any new texture discussions. In the meantime, I'll spend some time thinking about what makes a good game texture. I'm sure some of it will be similar ...

Any way to unbuckle it a bit from the movie? ;) Yes. The sudden (and surely short lived) popularity of my stupid race server has inspired me to make more maps and a totally different custom wall texture for them. It should be ready in about a month or so. I make the maps by hand, but maybe Inkscape...

And since I don't want to make new threads for stupid stuff like this, here is another texture. It's for my race server "Adventures of TRON: Escape The Grid." And, here is a lovely screen shot too. EDIT: Added revised texture after realizing original design was totally impractical. Added below. EDIT...

Maybe if there was a solid outline, then we could collectively submit chunks of text to the editor, Flex. I came up with the outline below. But, I'm not a Fortress expert by any scale and I can only guess what I'm missing. Feel free to revise. I. Introduction to Fortress A. Gameplay Basics i. The gr...

I would suggest making a Video Tutorial... Well, let's not forget 2020's work... http://youtube.com/watch?v=RFaDPE4qptM He's got the video thing down pretty well. Maybe after the tutorial is written, it can be filmed and narrated. I'll be watching this project with interest. Unfortunately, I don't ...

I have to agree with Alpha on the settings. When the changes were first made I was pissed. But after I accepted them I didn't really miss the old setting too much. Especially the scoring. The old Nexus9 DeathMatch settings would frequently lead to double, triple, and sometimes quadruple overtime. I ...

map-0.2.8.0_pig2.dtd
My new CTF map makes reference to "Your_mom/dtd/map-0.2.8.0_pig2.dtd" which I found locally. A few people can't visit my server because they don't have the DTD. I've spent the morning reading about DTDs on this forum, but unfortunately, I don't understand any more about them than when I started. How...

Hey Alpha! Because you are my hero, and I'm in love with the Team Gauntlet "Flag Fortress" map, I've dedicated a server to a variant of it. The server is called, well, FlagFortress. However, the cycle physics are approximately fort/sumo settings and not "no-rubber." But I wanted to say thanks for th...
