There's nothing about PyroCMS that shouts "use me! use me!" to me. I also don't like that they have a paid "professional" version, which I feel they're trying very hard to push. Also calling the "add-on" page the "store"... I definitely wouldn't be up for work...

I'd totally forgotten about armaunifed. We definitely should be bringing that to the mainsite... 4 years later.

I'm now even more leaning towards WordPress.

If we want to go down the full merge route, that would be good. Still not convinced that's a great idea. I think for handling that sort of thing what we would want is a WP plug-in that does armathentication. Uses contact us if they want to post, their details gets added to an "OK" to login...

I'd want to avoid hacking the mainsite onto the forums because phpbb doesn't have the nice plugin system. Every mod is therefore a potential major headache when upgrading. I'm fairly certain that aspect ratio is taken into account. I don't think a dynamic resize is too bad to handle. I think I've done it before with SDL as well.

Drupal... yes that's a lot more mature now as well. I know essentially zero about using it though. I don't get the impression that it's easier to deal with than Wordpress from an administrative point of view. I at least have some experience dealing with WP... writing plugins, modifying the code, doi...

I'll agree that this is worth looking at. Maybe it's time to bite the bullet and install Wordpress some place? It's a much more mature piece of software now than it was the last time we were considering this.

That was me. It was posted under General though, and based on the current discussion at the time Team Strategy seemed more appropriate than just plain Strategy.

About all I can say is that it's PAL SNES and that those are some blurry photos. Pretty much impossible to make anything else out.
